Leadership Changes Announced for Europe Central Area Organization Advisers

The Europe Central Area Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced leadership changes among the Area Organization Advisers. After three years of dedicated service, Sister Angela Carattoni, Sister Margret Cziesla, and Sister Gerlinde Merl will be released from their assignments as Area Organization Advisers. These women have served faithfully in supporting local leaders of the Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary organizations throughout the area.

Sister Angela Favia, from Italy, has been called to serve as a new Area Organization Adviser beginning 1 August 2025.

“I sincerely pray that this new calling draws me closer to our Heavenly Father and helps me learn from the devoted service and love of the sisters I will work with,” said Sister Favia. “I hope to come to know them in a way that allows us all to be edified and inspired to do good.“

Area Organization Advisers assist local leaders of the Church’s children’s, youth and women`s organizations and typically serve for three years in this role. Besides providing orientation and support for newly called organization presidencies, they also help leaders to engage in God’s Work of Salvation and Exaltation. Area Organization Advisers serve under the direction of the Area Presidency and in coordination with the Church’s general officers.
